The Salvation Army is a non-profit organization. They currently have 14 full time employees and 6 part time employees. The salvation army ministries help with the needs in local communities such as: Relationship counseling, marriage counseling, mentorship in the workplace, home, or school, along with social services. The Ponca City office has a thrift store available as well as a shelter which includes 15 male beds, 4 female beds, and 1 family unit. They do offer a free after school program. The Local Corps Church provides a Sunday service at 9:30am with coffee and fellowship, a 10am Sunday School service, and the adult and childrens church begins at 11am. The Salvation Army is expanding to the Blackwell area to open up an office for S.S., counseling, shut ins, nursing homes, and etc.
