Displays relating to Tonkawa and surrounding areas - Tonkawa tribe, early Tonkawa, schools, Three Sands, oil field, military, chapels, farm, railroad, Tonkawa Fire Dept. There is also a collection of early family stories - help with genealogy searches.
Located directly across the street is Centennial Park. It was created in 1993-94 to commemorate the centennials of opening the Cherokee Outlet in 1893 and the founding of Tonkawa in 1894. The park boasts a beautiful gazebo and 1200 granite pavers inscribed with the names of residents from the past and present, and a granite marker honoring early settlers.
